Conversely, if "track time on all documents" is set to no, then individual documents can be set to have time tracking turned on. If set to "track time on all documents by default" is set to yes, then individual documents can have tracking turned off. * Ideally, a general setting as to whether or not to time all documents by default. Timers would be exclusive of each other, meaning you can only have one label operating at a time. So that I could, for example, divide work on that file into categories like "drawing", "inking", "coloring", etc. * Super ideal would be the ability to apply labels to time periods. * Ability to remove time data from a file if I want to send that document to someone else, but for whatever reason I don't want them knowing how long I spent. Also good for recovering from crashes, or new installs, etc. * Ideally time data is saved in the document being worked on, so if I change computers, or need to reinstall, etc, time data can be picked up from where I left off from one computer to the next. * Ability to export document time data to CSV file. Can be ordered by most/least time worked on, document size, date last saved, etc. * Ability to open up a window that shows a list of worked on documents and their total times. Some people stare at their art for a long time before figuring out the next stroke. * Ideally a user configuration for how long the maximum wait before a pause is. The timer would automatically restart as soon as the user did anything within the Clip Studio Interface. * Some kind of automated pause, so that if the user had not touched the interface for, say, 5 seconds or so, the timer would pause. It would be great to have the option in Clip Studio Paint to turn on time tracking for individual documents, so that whenever I opened them there would be a timer recording how long I'm spending on that document. In short, the problem with general time tracking apps is that they require so much manual control in order to get a clear picture of how much I've worked on an individual art piece that it's no better than just using a stopwatch, which is prone to too much user error. So if, for example, if Clip Studio Paint is still open while I use Firefox, the timer will keep going for Clip Studio. Many aren't very good at tracking when you switch between software. As far as I can tell, they don't let you know how much time was spent on a particular document. However, these are insufficient because they generally only track the time any one software is open. There are standalone time tracking apps available for most operating systems. For anyone who wants to charge commissions or get paid in any way for doing their art, knowing exact time spent per art piece would be huge in helping determine rates to charge. I often only have a very vague idea, even though this would be critical information for me to have. One of the most common questions I get after showing someone some art I've made is, "How long did it take you to draw that?"
